Pawse began the way most good things do — not in a boardroom, but on a rainy Tuesday, with a stubborn rescue dog who refused to wear a poorly stitched raincoat. He had a point.

We started as volunteers at a small-town shelter, watching adopted pets head home in ill-fitting harnesses and itchy sweaters that unraveled in a week. The market was full of products designed to look cute on a shelf — not to be lived in by a real animal.
So we set out to make the pieces we wished existed. Garments cut for a body that runs, jumps and tumbles. Coats that handle a real winter. Recovery suits a dog actually tolerates. Treats made from ingredients we'd happily eat ourselves.

Every piece is tested by a very honest panel.
Before anything reaches our shelves, it spends weeks with our in-house quality team — eleven dogs, three cats, and one opinionated cockatiel. If it can't survive a muddy field trip, a couch-cushion fortress and a vigorous shake-off, we send it back.
The result is a small, fiercely edited collection. We'd rather carry forty things we love than four hundred we tolerate.
